The Cambridge First Certificate is aimed at B2 (Upper Intermediate) level learners who are looking to gain a well-respected qualification that is recognised all over the world.
By preparing for a Cambridge exam students will develop communication skills for everyday life and study. The FCE shows that your language skills are strong enough to study in English and is accepted for
entry to foundation/pathway/pre-sessional courses in English-speaking countries.
entry to undergraduate programmes taught in the medium of English in non-English-speaking countries.
Certification of language skills is also incredibly important in later life, providing learners with a competitive edge in career choices in the international jobs market.
Our ethos is that students learn best when they are engaged, challenged, and having fun. We have a very communicative approach and lessons focus on a wide range of skills and language points relevant to the FCE, as well as plenty of exam tips and tricks.
To prepare for the exam, we usually recommend students enrol for after school sessions once or twice a week for a minimum of twelve weeks. However, this is very flexible and depends entirely on your students' needs and abilities. Longer courses are available over the academic year, as are shorter intensive study courses.
Our fees cover tuition and help with exam entry, as well as everything your students will need for lessons. This includes exercise books, folders, materials and hand outs. Costs will vary depending the number of students per class and the length of the course booked - please get in touch for a quote at email@example.com.
In addition to the First Certificate, we can prepare students for a range of other exams depending on their aims and current level of English:
Cambridge English: Preliminary (PET)
Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE)
Do you have international students studying at your school?
Help them to get the most out of their UK experience with an internationally recognised English exam.
We run interactive and engaging courses across Devon, enabling your students to improve their level of English and gain the exam skills needed to succeed.
To prepare international students for their future work, life and study, we usually recommend the Cambridge FCE exam. A range of other exam courses are also offered (see below) to cater for a variety of levels. Each course is bespoke and dependant on your students' needs.
Unlike some other exams, the FCE exam focuses not just on academic English, but also real life situations, and is fun to prepare for. Once achieved, the exam certificate does not expire and so is valid for life.
Whether students want to study, work or live in an English speaking country, the FCE can make things much easier.
