About Us
Welcome to Brighter English! We are an English language school based in the UK, with all of our lessons delivered online. This means you can experience studying at a British school from the comfort of your own home.

Our main aim is to help you become a confident communicator. We believe that lessons should fuel curiosity, interest and creativity, and so create a positive attitude to learning.

All of our highly experienced teachers have a CELTA or DELTA qualification and are native English speakers.
They have taught in countries all over the world and love helping students to gain confidence and reach their goals. They can’t wait to meet you!

Katy Staplehurst
Course Director
Brighter English was founded by Katy Staplehurst, a DELTA qualified ELT professional with 12 years experience in teaching, ELT management and course design. She originally trained in Barcelona and has since lived and worked in England, Scotland, Italy and New Zealand. Read more about her story here.

Francesca Potts

Francesca has worked in the TEFL world for the past 14 years. After training at Bath Spa University she moved to Germany, where she founded the teaching and proofreading company Intelligent Editing. For the past 9 years she has been a core member of staff at The Globe English Centre in the UK. You can find her LinkedIn page here.
